The West Yellowstone’s 26th annual SNOWMOBILE EXPO is where Arctic Cat, Ski-Doo, and Yamaha will unveil their new 2017 snowmobile lines to the public at the same location, for the first time in the Rocky Mountain West! Clothing, aftermarket parts, and powersports exhibits will also be on display at the EXPO hall located at the West Yellowstone Holiday Inn Conference Center.
Thursday night fun includes the famous Casino Night, where anyone can become a millionaire (with funny money!) and a Calcutta for the vintage racers.
NEW FOR 2016 ~ Snow bike racing! Snow Bike MX presents Round #3 National Snow Bike Race Series with plenty of knock-down, bar-banging, jaw-dropping, ski-to-ski action featuring really fast guys on really fast bikes! Open to all snow bikes. Practice starts Sunday October 13th at 9:00am, racing starts at 10:00 am. There will also be on-site demo rides available too, (must be 18).
Don’t miss SWOOP Productions with their Saturday afternoon exhibition of thrilling and inspiring sport-bike freestyle shows for bike fanatics of all ages. This FREE show starts at 4:00 PM show will be on Madison Avenue (on the block between Canyon and Dunraven Streets) in downtown West Yellowstone. Swoop Productions is a rider formed company bringing the exciting spectacle of freestyle street bike and Harley Davidson stunts. Swoop Productions offers some of the most talented FMX riders in the world!
Wild Bill Productions is back with outdoor concerts on both Friday and Saturday nights. Friday night bands include upcoming country western artists Clare Dunn and Chris Janson. Saturday bands feature red dirt artist Cody Canada and The Departed, and favorite, Sawyer Brown. Octane Addictions is presenting an exciting snowmobile freestyle airshow in between the bands on both nights featuring X-Game riders Willie Elam, Brett Turcotte and Josh Penner. The 13th Annual Vintage Snowmobile Exhibit and Show returns on Saturday March 12th, hosted by Western States Vintage Snowmobile Association, is located at the EXPO Race Track on Iris Street. This annual show, competition and display is one of the largest gatherings of vintage and antique snowmobiles in the West with U.S. and Canadian participants from all over the “snow belt.” More than 200 immaculate snowmobiles encompassing the entire spectrum of snowmobiling history are expected to participate. This year’s featured Year Class is 1975. Prizes and special awards for: People’s Choice, Best of Show, & WSVSA Sled of the Year.
MWR (Mountain West Racing) Vintage Racing return again with expanded classes, races, and a specially designed race course. In fact, the entire race course is being reconfigured as an oval course. MWR Vintage Snowmobile Oval Races starts on Friday 12 PM with two qualifiers and Finals starting at 2:30 PM. Saturday races will follow the same schedule. Classes will include stock and mod single cylinder, 340 and 440 fan cooled, and 340 and 440 free air. New classes this year include 440 Early Fan (74 & Older), 340 L/C Mod, & 440 L/C Mod. Races are limited to snowmobiles year 1980 and older.
MWR Junior SnoCross racing includes Junior 10-13, Transition 300, and Transition 500. Junior SnoCross classes will alternate with the MWR 120 races (Friday & Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 AM) and the Grand Western M120 Championships on Saturday. Qualifying runs begin at 8:00 AM, with finals at 10:00 AM.
The 120 Western Grand Championships brings upcoming super stars together to own the 2015 “Champion 120 Title.” 120 cc racing is a special event for all youngsters who compete in three different classes:, 120 stock, speed limited, 120 Champ. Kids from 4 to 12 years old have a chance to try out racing or gain racing experience. Open to everyone. Must Register, no membership required.
Back again for the kids – Free 120 snowmobile Demo Rides for kids 3 – 12 yrs of age on Saturday from 10am – 3pm. And for “big” kids, Timbersled will again be offering first come first serve demo rides for anyone that is interested in riding them (proper riding safety gear will be required). Check out the Mountain Horse Snow Bike System based on a bolt on kit to any dirt bike that require no modifications to install and allow you to be able to switch your bike from tires in the summer to track system in the winter. Located on Iris Street, just south of the race track.
